Intelligrated to Buy Logistex North America

Intelligrated Inc. said Thursday it will acquire the U.S. operations FKI Logistex Holdings for $40 million in a cash deal with Melrose PLC, a British turnaround specialized, the Associated Press reported.

Logistex North America, St. Louis, supplies sorting, warehouse control and related systems AP said. It made a profit of $1.6 million in the six months before Dec. 31.

Melrose, which also plans to sell the European operations of Logistex, will use the money from the Logistex North America sale to repay debt, AP said.
