Initial Jobless Claims Fall 9,000 for Week

irst-time U.S. jobless claims fell by 9,000 to 310,000 last week, the Labor Department said Thursday.

Economists had predicted that the level would drop to 315,000 from last week’s initially-reported 316,000, Bloomberg said.

The less-volatile four-week moving average fell to 315,250 from 318,250.
