Ingram Micro Adds UPS Executive to Board

Ingram Micro Inc., a wholesale distributor of electronics and mobile phones, said it has elected UPS Inc. Chief Information Officer David Barnes to the board of directors.

Barnes also will serve on Ingram Micro’s information technology committee and the audit committee. The company also announced the election of Xactly Corp. Executive Chairman Carol Mills to the board. She will serve on the human resources and IT committees.

Ingram Micro Logistics, based in Santa Ana, California, and the supply chain services unit of Ingram Micro, ranks No. 25 on the Transport Topics Top 50 list of logistics companies in North America.

“We welcome Dave and Carol to the board,” Ingram Micro Chairman Dale Laurance said in a statement. “Each brings to the board valuable hands-on experience in different areas of technology and services that is directly applicable to Ingram Micro’s business and strategic direction. We appreciate Dave and Carol’s willingness to serve as directors and look forward to benefiting from their judgment and counsel.”
