Import Prices Rise 0.9%

The price of goods imported to the United States rose 0.9% in May for a fourth straight gain, the Labor Department said Wednesday.

Prices excluding petroleum gained 0.5%, while consumer goods prices were unchanged.

Economists’ estimated a 0.4% increase, Bloomberg reported.

Export prices rose 0.1% following a 0.3% rise in April.
