Import Cargo Expected to Rise

Import cargo volume at the nation’s major retail container ports, is expected to rise 8.5% in September from last year, according to a report by the National Retail Federation.

The increase is because of retailers importing merchandise for the holiday season, according to NRF.

Volume for the year is expected to be up 4.2% from 2012.
