IMC Launches Pacific Drayage Services for Seattle, Tacoma Markets

IMC Cos., a Memphis, Tenn.-based intermodal logistics company, announced it launched Pacific Drayage Services to provide drayage and warehousing services to customers in the Seattle and Tacoma markets of Washington, according to a company news release.

Pacific Drayage’s fleet is made up entirely of company-owned trucks and employee drivers, IMC officials said.

IMC said it has ordered 150 new trucks for the West Coast. The new fleet of Mack trucks was a $20 million capital expense, company officials said.

The expansion brings the number of brands under the IMC Cos. umbrella to nine:

• Atlantic Intermodal Services

• DNJ Intermodal Services

• Gulf Intermodal Services

• H&M Intermodal

• IMC Chassis Services

• Intermodal Cartage Co.

• Ohio Intermodal Services

• Pacific Drayage Services

• Progressive Transportation Services

IMC said Justin Britten will serve as Pacific Drayage operations manager. Britten has 15 years of expertise in the logistics industry and extensive experience in the Seattle and West Coast markets, IMC said.

IMC Cos. ranks No. 80 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest for-hire carriers in North America. It is a national network of intermodal logistics businesses providing container drayage, truck brokerage, warehousing, chassis provisioning and secured container storage.
