IMC Cos. Hires First Chief Administrative Officer

The marine drayage business IMC Cos. announced March 29 that it hired its first chief administrative officer.

Sherrie Hollis assumed the new role March 2. She will manage human resources, safety, facilities and driver services for the company and its brands.

The decision to create the new role and hire her for it stemmed from recent business growth.

“It became clear that we need more C-suite level support to help guide our team to continued success,” Chairman Mark George said in a statement. “We’ve known Sherrie for years and have worked with her in a variety of capacities. We’ve always been impressed with her professionalism and performance — and we’re so pleased to welcome her to our leadership team.”

Hollis has served in various leadership positions during her career, including chief financial officer and senior vice president of Primacy Relocation. Most recently she worked as the senior vice president and senior relationship manager for Bank of America. — Transport Topics
