Hub Group’s Fourth-Quarter, Full-Year Earnings Rise

Third-party logistics provider Hub Group said late Monday it earned $13.5 million or 34 cents a share in the fourth quarter, up from $10.1 million or 25 cents a share for the same quarter a year earlier.Revenue rose 5.5% to $425.5 million, compared with $387.4 million in 2005, the company said in a statement.For the full year, Hub Group’s income rose to $8.7 million or $1.19 a share, from $32.9 million a year earlier, exceeding its earlier predicted range of $1.10 to $1.15.Revenue for the year rose 8.6% to $1.61 billion.Fourth-quarter intermodal revenue rose 1.6% to $307.1 million. Truckload brokerage revenue jumped 14.5% to $81.5 million, while logistics revenue soared 24.2% to $36.9 million.Hub Group said its 2007 earnings would be $1.25 to $1.40 per share.
