Hub Group’s First-Quarter Income Gains

hird-party logistics provider Hub Group reported a first-quarter profit of $9.1 million or 44 cents a share, up from $5.3 million or 25 cents last year.

Revenue rose 8.3% to $356.7 million, the company said in a statement.

Intermodal revenue rose 11.3% to $260.7 million, including its acquisition of trucking and drayage firm Comtrak Inc. in early March. (Click here for previous coverage.)



Truckload brokerage revenue rose 16.4% to $69.5 million, while logistics revenue fell 25.3% to $26.5 million.

Hub Group is ranked No. 41 on the Transport Topics Logistics 50 listing of North American logistics firms.
