Hub Group Reports Higher Third-Quarter Income, Revenue

hird-party logistics provider Hub Group reported late Tuesday its net income increased to $13.5 million, or 33 cents a share, up from $9.6 million or 21 cents a share last year.

Revenue rose 11.5% to $432 million, compared with $387.4 million in 2005, the company said in a statement.

Intermodal revenue rose 12.3% to $318.9 million, the group said.

Truckload brokerage revenue rose 14.9% to $78.1 million, while logistics revenue declined 9.4% to $31.4 million.

For the full year, Hub said it expects earnings from continuing operations to be within analysts' range of $1.10 to $1.15 a share.
