ruck suspension and component maker Holland Group said Wednesday it will merge with a German firm that makes trailer axle and suspension systems.

The Holland Group said it will merge with Otto Sauer Achsenfabrik GmbH, known as SAF, by year-end, though terms were not released.

The merger will create a global supplier of transportation equipment with 26 manufacturing and warehousing facilities worldwide, Holland said in a statement.

The Holland Group’s products include tractor fifth wheels and trailer-landing gear, suspensions, kingpins, couplers and roll-formed components.

Following the merger the two will be subsidiaries of SAF-Holland Group GmbH, headquartered in Bessenbach, Germany, with annual revenue of about $975 million. The company will employ 3,000 people worldwide and its combined portfolio will be marketed under the Holland and SAF brand names, Holland said.
