Goodyear Sells Tire Fabric Operations to Hyosung

Goodyear’s tire fabric operations include facilities in Decatur, Ala., Utica, N.Y., Americana, Brazil and Colmar-Berg, Luxembourg.
oodyear Tire and Rubber Co. will sell its tire fabric operations to Hyosung Corp. of Seoul, South Korea, the tire manufacturer said Thursday.
The deal is valued at $80 million, Goodyear said in a statement.
In addition, Goodyear said it will enter into a $400-million, multi-year supply agreement with Hyosung following closure of the sale.
