Goodyear, Pilot Expand Truck Service Center Agreement

oodyear Tire & Rubber Co. said Thursday it has signed agreement to develop and operate truck service centers at Pilot Travel Centers.

Goodyear’s Wingfoot Commercial Tire Systems will develop service the centers at existing Pilot centers, the company said.

With eight Pilot Truck Care Centers in operation, the agreement “provides a springboard for continued growth,” Goodyear said.

The deal will help “customers who require an ‘on-highway’ presence, and it strengthens our national network of truck service providers,” said Steve McClellan, vice president of Goodyear Commercial Tire Systems,

Pilot, the largest U.S. operator of travel centers, operates 268 travel centers in 40 states.
