Goodyear Opens Highway Hero Award Nominations

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has started accepting nominations for its award that honors truck drivers who have taken risks to help other motorists.

The Highway Hero Award goes to one driver each year. The driver wins a $5,000 prize, a ring and other honors, Goodyear said in a statement.

Drivers can be nominated through Goodyear’s website, www.goodyeartrucktires.com. The nomination period ends Nov. 29.

Goodyear will announce the winner at the Mid-America Trucking Show in March.
