GM, Inland Foods Partner to Offer E85 in Florida

eneral Motors Corp. and Inland Food Stores have partnered to launch a series of ethanol fueling sites in Florida, GM said Wednesday.

Under the program, 17 fueling stations in the Tallahassee area will offer E85 ethanol by 2007, GM said in a statement.

The initiative marks the first public offering of E85 ethanol in Florida, GM said.

Several automakers, including General Motors, manufacture flexible fuel vehicles which are capable of running on any combination of gasoline or E85 ethanol, a blend of 15% gasoline and 85% ethanol.
