GlobalTranz Enterprises announced the purchase of SynchOne, the less-than-truckload freight brokerage division of Synchrogistics LLC in Greensboro, N.C., for an undislosed amount.

The deal, announced Aug. 15, is the sixth acquisition by Phoenix-based GlobalTranz since January 2017.

Bill Jackson, president of Synchrogistics, said the company has worked with GlobalTranz as a freight agent for the past seven years.

“We are excited to make our LTL solutions business part of GlobalTranz and look forward to helping drive company growth,” Jackson said in a statement.

GlobalTranz CEO Bob Farrell said the company’s strategy is to pursue market leadership through both strong organic and acquired growth.

Other companies acquired by GlobalTranz over the past 18 months have included AJR Transportation in Dallas, Apex Logistics Group in Salt Lake City, Global Freight Source in Milwaukee, Logistics Planning Services in Minneapolis and Worthington Logistics in Richmond, Va.

GlobalTranz ranks No. 10 on Transport Topics’ list of the largest freight brokerage firms in North America.
