The national average price of gasoline fell 7 cents in the past two weeks to $2.52 a gallon, according to latest Lundberg Survey of fuel prices released Sunday.

Mid-grade averaged $2.65 and premium averaged $2.77, analyst Trilby Lundberg said in her twice-monthly survey, which was conducted Friday.

The lowest price was in St. Louis, at $2.16, while Anchorage, Alaska, had the highest, at $3.29 per gallon. Gas averaged $3.09 in California.

Diesel and gasoline have been on a downward track the past few weeks, with gas down for six straight weeks and diesel down in the past three.

The Department of Energy will release its weekly survey of diesel and gasoline prices Monday afternoon in Washington.
