Gas Gains 2.6¢ to $1.944, Lundberg Says

Gasoline’s national average price rose 2.6 cents over the two weeks ended Friday to $1.944 a gallon, according to the latest Lundberg Survey of filling stations released Sunday.

Gas has risen about 28.2 cents from a December low, but is $2.17 below the all-time high of $4.114 set last July.

The highest price for self-serve regular gasoline was $2.39 in Anchorage, Alaska, while the lowest was in Billings, Mont., at $1.60, the survey said.

The Energy Department comes out with its weekly survey of gasoline and diesel fuel pump prices Monday afternoon in Cheyenne, Wyo.
