Frozen Food Express’s 4Q Earnings Rise

rozen Food Express Industries Inc. said its fourth-quarter profit was $1.8 million or 10 cents a share, up from $0.7 million or 4 cents a year earlier.

Total revenue increased nearly 14% to $124.2 million, the company said in a statement.

FFE said its income from operations more than tripled in the quarter.

It said the quarter’s earnings included a $3.1 million or 11 cents a share charge because of an actuarial study regarding over-the-road accidents and work related injuries and an increase in deferred compensation liabilities.

Frozen Food Express is ranked No. 44 on the Transport Topics 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian trucking companies.
