Frozen Food Express Reports 4Q Loss

Refrigerated truckload carrier Frozen Food Express Industries said it lost $3.5 million, or 21 cents a share, in the fourth quarter, compared with net income of $4.3 million, or 24 cents, a year earlier.

Revenue rose 4.9% to $117.9 million, FFE said in a statement.

For the full year, FFE lost $7.7 million, or 45 cents per share, compared with earning $11.2 million, or 61 cents, the previous year. Revenue for the full year fell 6.5% to $452.2 million.

Frozen Food Express is ranked No. 55 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
