Freightliner Trucks has expanded Team Run Smart to focus on career opportunities available in professional truck driving, while providing resources on how to succeed, the company said in a July 11 news release.

Team Run Smart has added a lineup of drivers to represent five categories in the profession to serve as industry resources:

  • Clark Reed, Nussbaum Transportation
  • David Morreau, Holland Transportation
  • Linda and Bob Caffee, Landstar System
  • Henry Albert, Albert Transportation
  • Jimmy Nevarez, Angus Transportation

Mike McHorse, director of channel marketing for Freightliner Trucks, said the goals are to address issues related to truck driving, educate those who are considering a career in driving and help those who are drivers to be successful.

Team Run Smart pros and representatives will attend industry meetings and trade shows to meet with community members and discuss their experiences.

The program launched in 2012 to provide owner-operators with a platform to share information and resources. It has grown to 60,000 members from all sectors of the trucking industry, according to Freightliner.
