Foxx Announces USDOT Received Nearly 200 FASTLANE Grant Applications

Outgoing U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx announced Jan. 19 that the Build America Bureau has received 195 applications requesting more than $7 billion in FASTLANE grants.

The FASTLANE program was established in the 2015 FAST Act to fund critical freight and highway projects across the country worth $4.5 billion for fiscal years 2016 through 2020.

Last September, USDOT announced the selection of 18 projects to receive $759 million from the first round of FASTLANE grants.
