FMCSA’s Sandberg Says More Rules Coming

HOS, EOBRs Among Those Eyed, Outgoing Chief Says

AMPA, Fla. — Annette Sandberg said she will sign off on several long-awaited regulations before stepping down as head of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration next month.

In an interview here with Transport Topics, Sandberg said rules on electronic onboard recorders and hours-of-service supporting documents would be among the upcoming regulations.

“We have a number of rulemakings that I started under my administration that we’re about getting ready to publish,” said Sandberg, who has resigned and will step down from FMCSA on March 1.
