FMCSA Postpones EOBR Regs, Citing Hours' Rule Issues

he Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has postponed for four months issuing its regulation on the use of electronic onboard recorders, the agency’s two top officials told Transport Topics last week.

“It’s probably going to be late May,” said FMCSA Administrator Annette Sandberg. “We had some issues that came up, mostly out of hours of service and hours-of-service supporting documents.”

FMCSA officials previously said the regulation would be issued in late January or early February.
