FMCSA Officials Scheduled to Address ATA Safety Group Meeting in Florida

rucking safety and personnel managers were scheduled to meet with officials from various federal agencies Sept. 28-Oct. 1 in Jacksonville, Fla., in a national conference and exhibition sponsored by the Safety & Loss Prevention Management Council of American Trucking Associations.

SLPMC said the group would cover such issues as commercial driver hours of service, criminal background checks for drivers of hazardous material cargoes and successful driver training programs.

The group said that three officials from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration were already confirmed last week to appear, including Deputy Administrator Warren Hoemann; Charles Horan, director of the Office of Enforcement and Compliance; and Ralph Craft, a crash-data analyst.
