Fidelitone, a Wauconda, Ill.-based warehousing and distribution firm, is expanding its order fulfillment services with the purchase of Remar Inc., the company announced June 5.

Based in Lebanon, Tenn., Remar distributes goods for manufacturers and internet retailers from multiple locations in Tennessee with two-day ground shipping service to about 80% of the U.S. population.

“This acquisition expands upon our one-day service area on the East Coast,” Fidelitone CEO Josh Johnson said. “fulfillment expertise and employees’ commitment to customer satisfaction made the partnership a great fit.”

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

In March, Remar spun off a part of its business that provides television to health care institutions. The new entity, called Remar Technologies Group, is headed by CEO Nelson Remus.

Regarding the sale of the warehousing and fulfillment business to Fidelitone, Remus said that he is happy with the arrangement.

“Fidelitone offers an expanded portfolio of integrated supply chain services and West Coast distribution points for our clients,” he said in a statement.

Remar operates about 500,000 square feet of warehouse space in four locations.
