FedEx National LTL Names New President

FedEx Corp. said it has named Mike Moss as president of FedEx National LTL, the parcel carrier’s long-haul less-than-truckload unit.

Moss replaces Bob Simons, who announced in April that he would retire. Moss took the position on June 1, FedEx said in a statement Friday.

Moss joined FedEx Corp. in 1997, and has served in a number of positions since then. In January 2009, Moss was promoted to senior vice president of international development for FedEx Freight System, the less-than-truckload subsidiary of FedEx Corp.

FedEx is ranked No. 2 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
