FedEx Launches U.S./U.K. Express Service

FedEx Corp. has launched a new direct express delivery service from its Memphis, Tenn. hub to Manchester, England.

The new service will originate at FedEx’s European air hub in Paris and will boost the carrier's daily U.S./U.K. express capacity by 50%, and Europe/U.S. express capacity by 20%, the company said Tuesday.

Including the new service, FedEx has three express delivery routes between the United States and and the United Kingdom.

FedEx is ranked No. 2 on the 2007 Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
