Expeditors’ 1Q Profit Improves

Logistics firm Expeditors International of Washington’s first-quarter profit rose to $61.3 million, or 29 cents a share, from $59.3 million, or 28 cents, a year ago.

Revenue rose to $1.2 billion from $913 million a year ago, the company said in a statement.

Year-over-year airfreight and ocean freight volumes rose about 40% and 15%, respectively.

Seattle-based Expeditors International of Washington is ranked No. 19 on the Transport Topics Logistics 50 listing of North American logistics companies.
