Existing Home Sales Rise 5.6%

Existing home sales rose 5.6% in November, the National Association of Realtors said Wednesday.

The gain to an annual rate of 4.68 million from an originally reported 4.43 million in October was below economists’ estimates of a 4.75 million rate, Bloomberg reported.

Sales rose in all four regions, led by a 12% jump in the West.

The median price rose slightly to $170,600, from $170,000 the previous month, Bloomberg reported.
