Equity Firm Buys Sprint Logistics Unit

Aperion Management has teamed with the management of Sprint Logistics to acquire that company’s municipal solid waste transfer station management and transportation business.

Terms were not released by Aperion, a New York private equity firm.

In a statement, Aperion said Sprint Logistics provides transfer station management and transportation services in the Houston area. The Sprint Logistics business will be renamed Stella Environmental Services.

Municipal waste transfer stations are processing facilities placed at intermediate sites between residential and commercial collection sites and landfills or other disposal sites. They’re used to aggregate waste volume before it is loaded into larger vehicles for transport to disposal sites.
