EGL Says Its CFO Will Step Down in Februbary

ransportation and logistics firm EGL Inc. said late Wednesday that Chief Financial Officer Elijio Serrano has resigned, effective Feb. 10, to join an oilfield services company in the Houston area.

The company said it will seek to fill the position as quickly as possible and that Serrano has agreed to serve as an advisor in the transition.

Serrano has been CFO since 1999 and an EGL director since 2000, the company said in a statement.



He will continue as a director until the company files its 2005 annual report2005. EGL plans to announce its fourth-quarter earnings results on March 9.

EGL, which operates under the name EGL Eagle Global Logistics, is ranked No. 16 on the Transport Topics Logistics 50 listing of the largest U.S. and Canadian logistics companies.
