Echo Global Logistics’ 2Q Profit Increases

Echo Global Logistics said its second-quarter profit grew to $1.9 million, or 9 cents per share, compared with $692,000, or 3 cents, a year ago.

Revenue rose 81.4% to $109.9 million in the quarter ended June 30, compared with $60.3 million in the 2009 quarter.

Profit margins fell to 18.2% from 21.9% a year earlier, the Chicago-based third-party logistics company said in a statement.
