ehicle parts maker Eaton Corp. Monday reported record sales and income for the second quarter.
Eaton earned $253 million or $1.64 a share, compared with $209 million or $1.37 a year earlier.
Second-quarter sales jumped 12% to $3.2 billion, Eaton said in a statement.
The company also boosted its quarterly dividend to 39 cents a share, from 35 cents. The dividend will be payable Aug. 25 to shareholders of record as of Aug. 7.
The company said its third-quarter earnings per share would be $1.50 to $1.60 per share and that its markets would grow 4% to 5% this year.
