Eaton Acquires Pa. Switch-Making Company

iversified manufacturer Eaton Corp. announced today it has acquired the principal assets of one of its suppliers, Pringle Electrical Manufacturing Co.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Pringle, headquartered in Montgomeryville, Pa., manufactures bolted contact switches and other specialty switches. It had $6 million in sales in the past year, with a third of those to Eaton.

The acquisition of Pringle’s line of bolted contact switches will secure the supply of an important component used in a variety of switchgear products, Eaton said in a statement.
