E-Manifest Filing on the Rise for Trucks

bout 13,000 electronic manifests were filed with U.S. Customs and Border Protection in September, compared 1,000 in April, the Department of Homeland Security said Tuesday.

The e-manifest technology is available to truckers at all ports of entry where the Automated Commercial Environment has been deployed, DHS said in a statement.

ACE is currently deployed to 49 ports and will ultimately be in all 99 land-border ports, the department said.

Earlier in October, Customs and Border Patrol completed its installation of ACE in all New York land border ports. (Click here for previous coverage.)
