Debra Dunn has stepped down as president of the Oregon Trucking Associations and is being replaced on an interim basis by Bob Russell, OTA’s former legislative affairs director.

Russell retired from his previous job Oct. 31 but agreed to lead the trucking group on a temporary basis until a new president is found, said OTA Chairman Mike Boyd, the West Coast sales representative for R.H. Sheppard Co., a manufacturer of heavy-duty steering equipment.

“We’re going to begin a search for a permanent president right away,” Boyd said.

Dunn, who left effective Nov. 7, had headed OTA since September 2010. Before that, she was executive director of the Portland Downtown Rotary Club and worked for automotive trade groups.
