Double Coin Tires will introduce a new mixed-service, all-position truck tire at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky.
The RR706 is designed for use in the construction and refuse industries, a company announcement said.
Aaron Murphy, a Double Coin vice president, said the tire was “engineered with advancements in tread compounds, patterns and casing construction that enhance performance and retreadability in the toughest and most rugged applications.”
The first size for the tire is 12R24.5. Later in the year, it will be rolled out in 315/80R22.5 with a 10,000-pound single-tire load capacity as well as 11R22.5 and 11R24.5.
The tires will be available through the Double Coin dealer network.
Double Coin is based in China, and its U.S. operations are in Monrovia, California.
Double Coin also said it is sponsoring an appearance at MATS by Ice Road Trucker Alex Debogorski.
He was one of the six ice road truckers who premiered on the show’s first episode in 2007. Debogorski is a journalist, blogger and the author of the book, “King of the Road.”
He will be signing autographs March 26-28 at selected times at booth #18068.
