Descartes Acquires Fluensee’s MobiTrac

Canadian Logistics software provider Descartes Systems Group said it has acquired Fluensee Inc.’s MobiTrac fleet management business.

Descartes, Toronto, said in a statement that it paid about $650,000 for MobiTrac’s software-as-a-service routing and scheduling technology.

In a software-as-a-service model, a technology vendor hosts and operates a software program on its own servers, charging customers a fee to access the program via the Internet.
