Logistics software provider Descartes Systems Group said it has signed an agreement to purchase Integrated Export Systems Ltd. for about $35 million in U.S. dollars.

IES, with offices in New Jersey and Hong Kong, offers management software for freight forwarders and customs brokers. The company also provides regulatory compliance services with a focus on shipments originating from Asia.

Descartes, Waterloo, Ontario, said Wednesday that it expects the transaction to close during its fiscal second quarter ending July 31.
