NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Decisiv Inc., a provider of service management software, will soon launch Insite 2.0, its visualization platform and is also urging customers to make better use of a system for maintenance reporting called VMRS.

Decisiv Vice President Michael Riemer said at a Feb. 26 press conference during American Trucking Associations' Technology & Maintenance Council that the new version of Insite will be available during the second quarter of this year. The system helps fleet maintenance executives collect, organize and analyze data from maintenance work.

“With our new visualization platform, Decisiv’s fleet, OEM, lessor and managed maintenance service provider customers can search, analyze and build network-wide dashboards and reports analyzing dwell time, performance, compliance and other actionable information,” Decisiv President Dick Hyatt said in a company statement.

“Imagine having a completely interactive ability to filter based on specific locations, types of repair and other attributes, quickly identifying outliers across thousands of transactions, and then drilling into the actual service events and even to the asset level details,” Hyatt said.

On maintenance reporting, Riemer said Decisiv is a strong proponent of VMRS, or vehicle maintenance reporting standards, developed by the Technology & Maintenance Council of ATA.

Riemer said VMRS enables fleets to standardize the way they record vehicle problems and maintenance responses, and that standardization can help generate useful data for management.

“VMRS provides some really cool tools for slicing and dicing data,” Riemer said.
