LAS VEGAS — Decisiv Inc. said beginning in 2017 its software platform will power the service management systems used by Paccar Inc.’s truck brands Kenworth and Peterbilt.

The company made the announcements at American Trucking Associations’ Management Conference & Exhibition here.

Currently, new Kenworth Class 8 trucks are equipped with Kenworth TruckTech+ Remote Diagnostics, which enables fleets to view real-time vehicle health in the Paccar Solutions portal, Decisiv said.

Decisiv’s service management system will allow fleets to monitor the service status for their individual trucks in real time through Kenworth’s expanded TruckTech+ and the Paccar Solutions portal, according to the Glen Allen, Virginia-based company.

Peterbilt’s SmartLINQ service management system, powered by Decisiv, will be integrated with the Paccar Solutions portal, too.

It provides customers with real-time access to the status of truck repairs and service being performed at Peterbilt dealerships and improves uptime by streamlining communication between customers and dealers to expedite decision-making in the servicing of the vehicle, for instance, approving electronic repair estimates.

Paccar Inc. is based in Bellevue, Washington.
