Dayton Parts Acquires Security Steel Supply Co.
Dayton Parts announced the acquisition of Security Steel Supply Co., a distributor of steel bars for the leaf spring industry.
Terms were not disclosed.
Under Dayton, Security, founded in 1964, will continue to operate as a separate business. Security President Dave Demers will remain in his post.
Security is the only full-range distributor of spring steel in North America. It also serves agricultural and other specialty manufacturers, according to Harrisburg, Pa.-based Dayton.
Security also offers a line of related products such as leaf spring repair plates, threaded rods, U-bolts, bushings, spring pins and other similar products.
Dayton Parts manufactures and supplies leaf springs for light-, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks, along with a broad portfolio of products for undercarriage applications.
