Dana Reports Higher 2Q Profit

Truck and auto component maker Dana Holding Corp.’s second-quarter profit improved on higher North American production levels, the company said Thursday.

Net income rose to $86 million, or 56 cents per share, from $68 million, or 45 cents, a year ago. Sales rose slightly to $1.95 billion.

Commercial vehicle income before interest and taxes rose to $57 million, from $55 million, while revenue fell to $513 million, from $583 million.

Dana trimmed its full-year sales forecast to a range of $7.5 billion to from $7.6 billion, compared with earlier guidance of a 3% increase.
