Crude Oil Tops $61 a Barrel as Diesel Supplies Decline

rude oil futures on Thursday rose to their highest levels this month, closing at over $61 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, Bloomberg reported.

Oil prices advanced on reports of declining U.S. diesel supplies, Bloomberg said.

Diesel inventories fell 2.92 million barrels to 78.4 million last week, according to a report from the Department of Energy.



Crude oil futures rose $1.21 on Thursday to close at $61.04.
