Covenant Takes 1Q Loss
Covenant Transport reported a $2.1 million or 15 cents per-share first-quarter loss, compared with a loss of $884,000 or 6 cents a year earlier.
Revenue rose 9.8% to $166.4 million, the company said late Monday.
Separately, Covenant proposed changing the name of its holding company to Covenant Transportation Group Inc.
Covenant is ranked No. 37 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
