Consumer Sentiment Drops to Lowest Level in Seven Months

.S. consumer sentiment fell this month to its lowest level in seven months, according to the latest University of Michigan survey released Friday.

The index fell to 79.1 from an April reading of 87.4, the survey said.

Analysts forecast a decline to 79, Bloomberg reported.
