Clean Energy’s 1Q Loss Widens on One-Time Charge

Clean Energy Fuels Corp. reported its first-quarter loss widened, in part due to one-time costs.

The company lost $31.8 million, or 37 cents a share, compared with a loss of $9.5 million, or 14 cents, a year ago.

Revenue rose to $73.6 million from $65.3 million. The first-quarter loss included $18.2 million in one-time costs.

Seal Beach, Calif.-based Clean Energy, which is developing a nationwide network of natural gas fueling stations for heavy trucks, said its gallons delivered rose 23% to 43.7 million.
