Chinese Wholesale Site to Use UPS Technology

UPS Inc. said that it will collaborate with Chinese wholesale marketplace DHgate in a deal that will allow DHgate to use UPS’s online shipping tools.

Through UPS Online Tools, users will be able to calculate costs, request pick-ups, track shipments and review transit times for their international shipments at the point of transaction on DHgate’s Web site, DHgate.com, UPS said Friday.

UPS said that its Online Tools could help both buyers and sellers on DHgate by streamlining many parts of the wholesale international shipping process.

DHgate connects more than 400,000 Chinese sellers with 2.1 million international buyers, UPS said.

UPS is ranked No. 1 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
