C.H. Robinson’s Profit Improves

Transportation and logistics firm C.H. Robinson Worldwide said its first-quarter net income jumped 25.6% to $73 million or 42 cents a share, up from $58.1 million or 33 cents a year ago.

Transportation gross profit increased 16.4% to $296.9 million, the company said late Tuesday.

Truck gross profit rose 17.4% for the quarter, while intermodal rose 18.3%, the company said.
